Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. A MATTER OF BALANCE is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. Two trained coaches guide participants through learning and activities that emphasize strategies to reduce fear of falling and increase activity levels among older adults. Participants show improved balance, flexibility and strength while viewing falls as controllable. This class will be classroom style and we will add 20-25 minutes of light exercise weeks 3-8. Learning from the group is a key component of this class so attending class is imperative to get the most out of the program.
This class will meet once a week for 2 hours each session. The program is 8 weeks long.

This class is free of charge, but registration is required. We suggest attending all 8 classes to maximize success and learning of the program skills offered.
