About

The Crow Wing Aging Coalition is a dedicated working group whose goals are to develop and promote health and wellness options for the aging population in Crow Wing County. Current membership includes 35 people representing 20 home and community-based organizations who provide services to people 55 and better living in Crow Wing County.

Meetings and Contact

The Aging Coalition meets the second Wednesday of February, May, August and November from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Meetings will be held at the Crow Wing County Land Services Building in the lower level. A virtual option is available. Interested in getting involved? Task Groups

Task groups are identified and formed according to the activities listed as priority issues. Current task groups are:

  • Evidence-Based Classes
  • Special Events, Education and Outreach
  • Mental Health Task Group
  • Lakes Area Memory Awareness Advocates (LAMAA)

Advanced Care Planning

A healthcare directive allows you to:

  • Appoint someone to make medical decisions for you if you are unable to make the decisions for yourself.
  • Give instructions to your decision maker about the kind of care you want and don’t want.
