Every three years, Crow Wing Energized works alongside community partners to identify priority community health needs in Crow Wing County. This information helps Crow Wing Energized and its partners plan a collaborative community health response to the most pressing health issues in the area.
To inform strategic community health program planning, Essentia Health, Crow Wing County, Cuyuna Regional Medical Center and the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) administered a community health survey to adults in Crow Wing County. This survey, administered in Summer 2024, asked respondents to provide their perspectives about community conditions related to health. The survey was mailed to 3,578 households in Crow Wing County and captured responses from 810 area residents (22.6% response rate), a statistically sound sampling which was adjusted to get a representative of the adult population of the county. Detailed results of this survey are available by clicking the buttons below.
Essentia Health is using the results of the survey to prioritize its work in three community health needs areas through 2028: Nutrition and Movement, Mental Wellness, and Social Determinants of Health. The evidence-based programs Essentia Health is using to respond to these priority needs are documented in its Community Health Needs Assessment document, available by clicking the corresponding button below.
